For supporters of Allies for Health + Wellbeing, legacy giving is a powerful way to help protect access to compassionate, stigma-free care for future generations. A gift in your will can help sustain integrated medical care, supportive human services and community-based education for people living with, or at risk of, HIV, viral hepatitis and sexually transmitted infections, as well as others seeking affirming care in our community.
Creating a legacy can be done though gifts of any amount, and there are many ways to create a legacy at Allies for Health + Wellbeing. One of the most popular planned giving methods is naming Allies as a beneficiary in your will or retirement account. This can either be as an outright dollar amount or a percentage and is easy as adding language to your existing plan or updating the beneficiary form with the company that manages your retirement account.
Make-A-Will Month is an invitation to ask yourself, 'What do I want to leave behind?' By including Allies in your estate plans, you can create a legacy rooted in dignity, healthcare access and belonging. You also may choose to share your intentions and become part of the Allies Legends Society, a community of supporters committed to the future of Allies and the people we serve.
If you're interested in joining the Allies Legends Society and making Allies a part of your legacy, please contact Alex Neal, Chief External Relations Officer, at 412-910-0077 or email aneal@alliespgh.org(opens in a new tab).
