Allies for Health + Wellbeing is highlighted in a video commissioned by Ambetter Health(opens in a new tab) about Allies' experience switching to an ICHRA - Individual Coverage Health Reimbursement Arrangement - for employee health insurance.
In March 2026, a video crew from Dynamite Candle Studios(opens in a new tab) and TOKY(opens in a new tab), both based in St. Louis, spent several days at Allies, interviewing staff and shooting background footage of Allies' new office space.
Carrie Reighard, Allies chief financial officer, spearheaded the project to bring the film crew to Allies.
'We wanted to help make this video because moving our employee health insurance benefits to the ICHRA model has had such a significant financial impact for our agency,' they said.
'Not many people know about this option for employee health insurance. We wanted to share our experience with other nonprofits that might benefit from an ICHRA, and put more of their money towards programming and advancing their missions, like we have been able to.'
We're grateful to Chris Shipley, vice president and partner, employee benefits at Henderson Brothers(opens in a new tab), for taking part in the video. Thanks too, to Mary Bockovich, Allies CEO; Carrie Reighard, Allies CFO; Crystal McKee, MAI outreach coordinator; and Gina Burns, data management specialist for doing interviews, and to all Allies staff who took part in background footage and who worked around the film crew during the shoot.
